On March 17, 2025, Yayasan Agathis Dammara Karbon and the Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Brawijaya officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen collaboration in education, research, and community service. This partnership aims to support the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi by bridging academic expertise with real-world agricultural and environmental initiatives.
Yayasan Agathis Dammara Karbon, an organization focused on agriculture, farmer training, and biochar development will work closely with various study programs within the Faculty of Agriculture, including Agroecotechnology, Agribusiness, Forestry, and postgraduate programs. Through this cooperation, both institutions commit to developing joint programs such as curriculum enrichment, Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) activities, student internships, joint research, practitioner lectures, and graduate coaching.
The MoA emphasizes synergy between institutional resources, mutual support, and alignment with legal and academic standards. All program implementations will be further detailed in separate agreements, ensuring clarity in responsibilities, schedules, and funding.
Valid for five years with the possibility of extension, this partnership is expected to enhance innovation, community empowerment, and the development of sustainable agricultural practices. By combining academic knowledge with field-based expertise, the collaboration sets a foundation for impactful initiatives that benefit students, farmers, and broader society.
Yayasan Agathis Dammara Karbon (Adakarbon) is a non-profit foundation committed to fostering sustainable environmental solutions through carbon sequestration (biochar) and reforestation initiatives.
